The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty opened on a negative note on Friday tracking global cues. At 9.38 am, Sensex was trading 11.97 points down at 25,591.13, while NSE Nifty was trading 7.65 points down at 7,839.60.

Idea Cellular: Telecom operator Idea Cellular on Thursday said it has launched its 4G services to 84 more towns of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle, taking the total tally to 121 in both the circles. The company’s net profit declined by 39 per cent to Rs 575.6 crore in the last quarter of 2015-16 due to a spike in finance costs. Stocks of the company were trading 3.56 per cent down at Rs 122.05 (9.38 am).
Vedanta: Mining major Vedanta Ltd today reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 11,181.26 crore in the march quarter last fiscal due to a non-cash impairment charge of Rs 12,304 crore largely relating to Cairn India. Shares of the company were trading 3.20 per cent up at Rs 103.20 (9.42 am).
ICICI Bank: Shares of the private lender were trading 1.23 per cent down at Rs 237.20 ahead of its fourth quarter results slated to be released later in the day.
Indigo: IndiGo will add over a dozen new flights to its network from next month as the budget carrier continues spreading its wings in the rapidly growing domestic market, which logged a healthy 25 per cent growth in March over the corresponding period of 2015.
Dabur India Ltd: FMCG firm Dabur today reported a 16.56 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 331.93 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2016. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 284.76 crore in the January-March quarter of 2014-15.
